It is my pleasure to host you on the College of Business and Economics (CBE) web page. We are very proud of our strong tradition of teaching, research and community service. The pride stems from our AACSB accredited undergraduate and graduate programs. Additionally, the Department of Accounting was AACSB accredited in 2012. Our four undergraduate departments have continued to refine their offerings to match the needs of the nation. Our Executive Advisory Board has provided guidance in our curriculum and strategic plan. Students are encouraged to study abroad at one of our many partner universities. You will find our faculty to have graduated from some of the best universities in the world. In, fact they come from many parts of the globe—more than 30 nationalities. Our faculty takes great pride in their research accomplishments—more than 2000 citations of their work by fellow researchers have been recorded. The faculty has extensive work experience and UAE community service which will enhance your learning experience. Our internship/placement function is expanding under the guidance of our Assistant Dean for Professional Development and his staff. Each student is placed in a one semester internship prior to graduation. Many receive job offers based upon this experience. Our graduate programs are located where our students reside—the MBA in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, and the DBA and our new MPA are located in Abu Dhabi in our new center on Reem Island.
